human parking meter

took this photo awhile ago- i haven't posted in awhile cos i'm curretly in joburg visiting family. for some who don't know this is a human parking meter. you see the thing is that if you happen to park your car in a main road in cape town you have to pay this person a certain amount of money, some places are more expensive than other places. i understand the need for this but the funny thing is that if you turn up or down a road from a main road you don't have to pay- so than i ask myself what is the point- convience??? but it's not convient for my wallet and my legs could do with the little exercise they would get if i walked a few extra meters.

film shoot 1

alice is studying at AFDA, one of the best film schools in South AFrica at the moment. i got the honour of accompanying her and her fellow class mates on their first film shoot. the title of the film is "it wasn't me!" the film is only 90 seconds long but the amount of time, effort and work that is involved is hectic. the film is about a white male 'maid' and a black female employer and what happens when red wine is split on the floor. it was a lot of fun being on set, i got to take some photos with studio lights for the first time.

rain go away come back another day

It's been pouring with rain here in Cape Town- it's only in the last few days that there hasn't been any rain. i must say that there isn't a lot to do in Cape Town when it's raining, and if there is something to do, it costs a lot of money.
