"untitled"

This is one of my favourite portraits at the moment. To be honest I can't seem to tear my eyes away from this particular photo, I think this photo really captures the 'true' essence of the person, the real state of his heart (as much as he tried to conceal it, I intended to pick it up). I love the composition and the tone of this photo. His face jumps out at you and you are kind of forced to take a look at him. The depth of field also adds to the overall feel and also forces you to focus exclusively on the central part of his face.

The thing I love most about portrait photography is that no two people pose the same way. Everyone projects differently onto the camera. It's so fascinating to watch what type of relationship people have as well as how people interact with my camera.

My love for and relationship with photography definitely stems from my mother's constant obsession of wanting to photograph every special and non-special occasion in
my life.
