table mountain
before i came to cape town i use to laugh at the capetonians' love for the mountain! you see i'm a joburg girl and as you might know the only 'mountain' we have in joburg is the mine dumps...so you can understand my lack of appreciation. but since alice and myself have been running along the mountain i have fallen in love with this master piece of nature. i love it so much that alice and myself go to the mountain at least three times a day... it's fantastic up there you really do feel like you are on top of the world. i'm still to go up the cable car but for now i'm satisfied with just being at the base! i love this photo of the mountain, even if it was taken from inside the car with the window up!
tea at Lanzerac hotel stellenbosh
while in stellenbosch we went for tea at the Lanzerac hotel. wow what an amazing place. it's so peacful there. here is a photo of our tea session...as you can see (hopefully) it's a reflection of alice and myself in the tea pot! if you can't see it double click to enlarge it, to get a better view! i love this photo!!!!

a day in stellenbosch
went to stellenbosch the other day and what a lovely, beautiful place it is! wow! i was feeling depressed on the drive there but when i got there my heart was stilled by the beauty of this little wine town! if you are ever in Cape town or the western cape for that matter, YOU SHOULD make a plan to go to stellenbosch- trust me you won't regret it in the least! it is worth the drive!

simons town- the local penguin's hangout
took a short drive the other day to simons town to go see the penguins- i've been to simons town so many times before, but have never go to see the little creaters dressed up to the nines before- so i just had to go and photograph them
Kalk bay
went to Kalk bay the other day, just to get out of the city and breathe some fresh sea air. anyway... they have a little harbour near to town, where these cute fishing vessels dock. i just had to take a photo, not something you see everyday of your life now is it??? If you are ever in kalk bay, go to the harbour and buy some fish off the fish mongers wife
